The K-Model is Skips speed machine. These boards were made for good waves and are about as close as you’ll see Skip make that has a “shortboard” look to it.
These have proven themselves in real surf in Hawaii, Fiji, Mainland and here at home. Not your everyday board, it’s the board you pull out when you need to go as fast as possible in good solid surf.
This one is used with repairs but solid and ready for El Niño. I have a video clip of Skip talking about one of his smaller Kmodels and he said he’s never gone faster on a board. I can attest that it’s the same for me and my 7’7” I’ve had for 20 years. It’s my go-to in big heavy waves around here.
