Roy Sanchez Surfboards

Roy Sanchez. He's a shapers-shaper from San Diego who has been making surfboards for over 40 years. His impressive resumé includes shaping duties for some of the surf industry's biggest global brands including; Rusty, Channel Islands, Bing, Christenson, Rawson and more. 

He's earned a reputation from other surfboard craftsman as one of the hardest workers in the surfboard industry. Legends like Greg Noll have entrusted Roy with restoring some of their classic boards and made a point to let people know.

So with all that said, here is what Roy is doing now. Making his own surfboards under his own name, all by hand. Start to finish. Shaping, glassing, sanding, hot coats, fins, gloss, polish..everything. This control over his boards means they are impeccable and made to order. No machines, no hassle in the supply chain or boards not a priority in some random factory.
