Roy Sanchez Ono- 9’7”
The “Ono” is Roy’s version of a San Diego classic; The Fish Simmons as created by Skip Frye. This design sprang from the shadows of Crystal Pier in 1993 and has been a staple in the area ever since.
Ride Report:
The speed of a fish with a high Simmons hip, deep triple concaves and a relief on the rails create a fast, loose speed machine. I’ve ridden this shape for three decades and it’s one of the best big boards you can ride. Roy’s version has a few perks of its own with a more performance and forgiving rail and a dropped rocker for added Speed.
Fin Set Up:
Ride as a proper trifin( Skip Frye Mediums from True Ames) or use Grenan sides with a center nub fin for best performance and feel.
