  • Rennie Yater Handshape 1962

    Yater 10’2” Gun 1962

Reynolds Yater was making some of the most desirable boards on the West Coast throughout the 1960s.

This gun is an excellent representation of his craftsmanship and versatility. The outline and fin scream Pat Curren but this is all Yater. While there is no signature or serial number, the photos of Rennie with a board from the same time period shows the date range of its creation.

This has been in a private collection for a decade. The board was restored by Randy Rarick and sold at his 2011 auction.
