Michael Miller 11" Eagle

Description:

This 11' Eagle pulls out all the stops. It features Skip Fryes famous bottom contours of a long single concave that feeds into a double barrel concave in the latter portion of the board to slight "vee" off the tail for better speed and turning. This board is as good as it gets and no expense was spared.

Glass:

The boards is glassed with a 6+6 deck and 6 bottom. This is a wet-sanded gloss coat, or a "Satin" finish. This gives you the added strength of a gloss but without the high-shine and "slippery in the hands" feeling. It also features beautiful cut-laps and a leash loop for added soul. Board was glassed at Custom Surf Glass, one of Californias finest shops featuring the glasswork of our dear friend, Mitch King.

Color:

Skip Fye Gold is what we call it. It's a Mango type yellow that stands out beautifully with the wedge stringer.

About Michael Miller:

"I started working around surfboards in 1998 at Joe Roper Surfboard Repairs. There, I learned all of the basics of surfboard construction from start to finish. After Ropers, I worked for Chris Christenson of Christenson Surfboards for five years as a laminator and production shaping. At Christenson's, I was able tune in my shaping and glassing skills to a higher level and with the close proximity of our complex, I was fortunate enough to be able to become friends with and learn from Skip Frye. I feel like my two biggest influences on my board design have been Chris and Skip and I owe them everything."

"Skip is still my next door neighbor after 21 years working at this location and has been a great source of surfboard information, surf history and how to be a good person."
