  • Mitsven 7’2” Egg

    Bob Mitsven 7’2” Egg

Everyone needs an Egg in their stash. This hyper universal design lends itself to 10’ cruisers or Kelly Slaters latest model the “MindCraft.”

What’s the magic that makes these boards so darn good in almost every condition? Width and curve.

That combo helps the board fit into any kind of wave shape and the width is the speed. When Skip Frye cut down his wide vee bottom into a round egg shape in 1968, he knew he was onto something. Since then that design has never left the San Diego shapers aresenal  of templates.

Today’s version have a wide variety or options: Tri, Twin, Quad, Twinzer and Bonzers all fit nicely into this outline.

If you’re coming down off bigger boards or something a ring to catch more waves than your normal shortboard, this his is the one for you.

    Specs:

    7’2” x 22.5” x 2.75”

    Aqua Tint

    Tri fin, Futures

    Leash plug
