This board is incredible. The Baby Gun was a Skip Frye "transition" model that was extremely short lived due to the speed of design change in the last months of the 1960's. Boards kept getting shorter and shapers were creating and scrapping models before they even hit the market.
This one is a Randy Rarick restoration. Rarick is considered the worlds finest surfboard restoration craftsman. Located in Sunset Beach Oahu, Rarick has restored boards for the worlds greatest shapers and collectors and his work is impeccable.
This board is 10/10 and comes with the original W.A.V.E. Set box and fin. While the transition boards were difficult to surf, the are an important piece of surfings history and surfboard design progression. This one is a fine example of how the Shortboard Revolution began.
